Forty-Nine Action (2)
After twisting the neck of Koinu Heijirō, Wei Hua quietly left the villa and returned to his room in the modest inn where he was staying. Lying on his bed, Wei Hua carefully considered his next move. So far, the Black Dragon Society had not suffered any severe blows. This time, he had killed Koinu Heijirō, and with Koinu Tarō possibly on the verge of madness, the opportunity to wipe out the core members of the Black Dragon Society was at hand. He now possessed the necessary intelligence; it was only a matter of executing his plan.
Wei Hua had been staying at this small inn for five days; after one more day, he would move elsewhere, so as not to arouse suspicion. He consistently disguised himself as a timid young man from Hokkaido, searching for work during the day, retreating to his room to watch television at night, then sleeping—a picture of innocence, betraying not the slightest flaw.
Over the next two days, Wei Hua went on a rampage, eliminating four more leaders of the Black Dragon Society. In broad daylight, he launched his attacks, assaulting a secret stronghold of the Black Dragon Society and slaughtering every member within. All the victims had their necks twisted, including two high-ranking leaders. Wei Hua favored this method, as it spared him from bloodstains. Dozens of members were killed in a single ambush, and his massacre terrified many, not least the already deranged Koinu Tarō. The murder of Koinu Heijirō left Tarō grief-stricken and vowing to tear the killer apart; yet, as he began to lose his sanity, he found that the murderer seemed even crazier, launching a daytime assault and orchestrating a massacre. If news of this got out, how could Tarō ever face his shadowy master, Goro Mori? He hurriedly hid in his sanctuary, issuing orders by phone to have the bodies discreetly disposed of, intent on keeping the affair secret. Then he summoned the remaining senior leaders of the Black Dragon Society to devise countermeasures.
Koinu Tarō’s sanctuary lay at the foot of Mount Fuji, in a manor purchased under another’s name. The surrounding land also belonged to him; the manor sat atop a small hill, offering a vantage from which one could observe the landscape for miles—a perfect hiding place. Yet, unbeknownst to Tarō, Wei Hua was already waiting for him there. As dusk fell, the surviving Black Dragon Society leaders arrived with their bodyguards, all shaken by the day's massacre. Guards and bodyguards took up their posts; Tarō and his associates entered a secret chamber to plot their response, while Wei Hua began eliminating the guards outside. His plan was to kill everyone in the manor, though the order mattered little. After dealing with the patrolling guards, Wei Hua opened all the ether canisters he had prepared, and soon, the manor was enveloped in silence.
Wei Hua had manufactured the ether himself, purchasing the materials and using the manor’s basement, which was rarely visited. Donning a gas mask, he entered the manor, twisting the necks of everyone he encountered. In the end, he spared only two: Koinu Tarō and Takeshita Mokuhira. He retrieved the special seals they carried and pocketed them, then used his “Soul Capture Technique” to control them. Wei Hua instructed Tarō to call Goro Mori, informing him that someone would soon deliver important documents. Mori, unsuspecting of any threat, revealed the address where he would spend the night with his mistress. After the call, Wei Hua extracted all the intelligence they possessed about the Black Dragon Society. Finally, he twisted their necks and left the manor.
The next morning, as the bank began its operations, Wei Hua, dressed as a company employee, appeared at the bank where the Black Dragon Society held its secret account. Using the special seals from Tarō and Mokuhira, along with the bank password he had obtained from Ishishu Sano, Wei Hua effortlessly transferred nearly one hundred billion yen from the Society’s secret account to a new account opened by Ruan Wen Yong at a Cayman Islands bank. After bidding farewell to the staff, Wei Hua departed. As he left, Senator Goro Mori was discovered dead at his mistress’s home, shifting all of Japan’s attention to the murder. Goro Mori had been killed by Wei Hua. Posing as a Black Dragon Society courier, Wei Hua entered the mistress’s residence, ambushed and killed Mori’s four bodyguards, and finally twisted Mori’s neck as well. Wei Hua spared the mistress’s life, but under the coercive power of the “Soul Capture Technique,” she remembered nothing about the murderer.
A month later, nearly one hundred billion yen of Black Dragon Society funds were openly transferred into the account of the Japanese branch of the Excellence Private Investment Company. Combined with the five hundred million dollars brought by Selene, the branch’s capital reached 240 billion yen. Once the funds were in place, Wei Hua flew Japan Airlines to Tokyo, where Kinoshita Hirushi, head of the Kinoshita family, personally welcomed him at the airport. The Black Dragon Society was destroyed, and the threat to the Kinoshita family eliminated. All aspects of the family's business were thriving, and Hirushi was in high spirits. He had not forgotten Wei Hua’s assistance and believed that continued cooperation would elevate the family’s fortunes even further.
On May 1, 1976, the Japanese branch of the Excellence Private Investment Company opened in a skyscraper in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district. Most of the staff had been recruited by the Kinoshita family. On the day the company launched, 240 billion yen entered Japan’s venture capital market. Wei Hua and the three Selene sisters had a clear target: the Nikkei Average Index. With the intelligence provided by Wei Hua, they knew the Nikkei would steadily rise over the coming years, so they had no fear of failing to profit.
