“Good!” “No!” Two completely opposite answers came from Jessie and Mary; Jessie agreed, while Mary opposed.

“Two votes in favor, one against! The decision is passed! Mary, you must abide by our mutual agreement. When Weihua comes to Japan, we'll all spend a night with him together, and after that, we can stay overnight together every time. I won't have to wait two nights before I can fall asleep in Weihua's arms. Isn't that wonderful?” Selene said, her words filled with happiness.

“Did you plan this all along?” Mary asked.

“Yes! Now I realize I'll never leave Weihua. Both physically and spiritually, I've been conquered by him. I'm willing to make any sacrifice for him. Aren't you willing as well?” Selene asked.

“We are!” Jessie and Mary replied in unison.

“Well, then there's no problem, is there? Do we have any secrets left to keep from one another? Sooner or later, we'll live together, and once we resolve this, nothing else will trouble us.” Selene said.

“But God says each man can have only one wife!” Mary protested.

“That’s what God says, but the law doesn’t prohibit a man from having multiple wives—not all laws restrict a man to one wife. Weihua is not a Christian; he doesn’t need to obey God. He has his own beliefs! His ancestors allowed multiple wives, so I’m sure he won’t object to this arrangement!” Selene replied smugly.

“All right! Let’s not discuss this anymore. We’ll talk about it when Weihua arrives in Japan. For now, we need to get off. Outside is the Imperial Palace of Japan—let’s go visit!” Jessie said.

The next round of negotiations with Matsushita was held three days later. This time, things went more smoothly. Matsushita’s request for patent authorization matched the intentions of Weihua and the three women, but they disagreed on market division. Matsushita wanted the markets of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and Australia, but Weihua envisioned those as his own territory, including Mainland China. He would soon enter Hong Kong; how could he let outsiders sell goods at his doorstep? The talks stalled once again, but this pause didn’t affect either side much. Cooperation was already assured; dividing the spoils was another matter. Both sides would make concessions for the sake of partnership. Ishigen Matsui understood this perfectly.

A lot can happen in three days. In that span, two more senior leaders of the Black Dragon Society died, and the elder in charge of finances, Shiu Sato, disappeared. The society’s president, Kentaro Inukai, was furious, berating all the leaders relentlessly. After a while, he calmed down and asked Heiji Inukai,

“What have you found out?”

“President, I’ve checked! Weihua isn’t among the personnel from Excellence Company entering Japan, and there’s no record of him in immigration. Our informants in the Kinoshita clan learned that the three female CEOs of Excellence explained Weihua was tied up with critical experiments in his lab and couldn’t come to Japan yet. But they said he’d come as soon as the experiment ended—so he should arrive soon. I’ve asked our friends in America to confirm, and Weihua has indeed stayed in his lab for a long time—even the lab staff rarely see him!” Heiji responded quickly.

“Have any ships arrived from America recently? Is there a chance Weihua could have smuggled himself into Japan? If I wanted to deal with a foreign enemy, I wouldn’t just stroll in openly. He’s been absent for days—it’s possible he slipped into Japan to strike at us in secret.” Kentaro Inukai, with his intelligence background, analyzed the situation meticulously.

“This past week, only one cargo ship came from America. The others didn’t pass through the US. Our people checked carefully; there are no stowaways on the American ship, and all crew members are accounted for. That ship left Japan yesterday and its next stop is Hong Kong,” Heiji continued.

“Send someone to America to verify if Weihua is really in his lab. I have a feeling he’s behind all this, though we lack evidence. I’ve thought about it for days—recently, we’ve had no enemies except the Kinoshita clan, whose strength is under our surveillance. So this incident can’t be their doing. Of course, it could be some domestic group plotting to swallow us, but unlike ordinary gangs, we have political backing. Even a giant like the Yamaguchi-gumi keeps its distance. So it’s highly unlikely a domestic group would attack us. Now, I’m considering only this Chinese Weihua!” Kentaro Inukai said.

“President, what are you talking about? We don’t understand. Are you saying all our troubles lately are caused by this Weihua from China? Can you tell us more about who he really is? As members of the Black Dragon Society, we must contribute to its survival,” said the strategist and elder, Kihira Takemoto, his words laced with dissatisfaction toward Kentaro.

“Kihira, please don’t be angry. That’s my fault. You know I sent Heiji to America to investigate the Kinoshita clan’s partners. Heiji is young and inexperienced, so he only found that the partner is a company named Excellence Private Investment. But he didn’t find out who’s behind it. Excellence is run by four people—three are American women with simple backgrounds; the other is the Chinese Weihua. His identity is mysterious. I suspect he’s behind our recent calamities. We also know Weihua is a formidable fighter—Yan Yagyu was badly injured by him in a single move! Heiji focused on investigating Weihua’s backing, forgetting to guard against Weihua himself!” Kentaro explained to Kihira.
