After rounding the bend, the opponent decisively slammed the accelerator, and the black Batmobile, fueled with specially refined gasoline, unleashed a power and combustion efficiency that pushed it far beyond the realm of ordinary sports cars. This machine sat somewhere between a standard racer and an F1 formula car. With a single press, a plume of pink flame erupted from its tail—eerie and spectacular. The car's speed surged wildly once more.

"Ye Chen, hurry! They're catching up!" Li Ruo's nerves were stretched taut, her eyes brimming with apprehension. Beside her, Ye Chen's gaze was glued to the tachometer, his foot pressed unyieldingly on the gas. On the straight, he couldn’t outpace his opponent, so he relied on his temporary lead, blocking the other's way as best as he could—he only had to hold them off until the next bend. If they couldn’t break through, they could forget about overtaking after the next corner.

The black Batmobile's driver had already seen through Ye Chen’s intentions. He shouted furiously, "Despicable! Shameless!"

"Hao, overtake him!" The dazzling woman in the passenger seat cried out.

"Alright!" The man nodded. He jerked the steering wheel left, feinting an escape to that side, then quickly spun it right, and stamped hard on the pedal. The woman gasped in alarm as the car rocketed forward, the force pinning her to the seat. Ye Chen instantly sensed danger, but by the time he reacted, the rival car had already swept past him. He caught a clear glimpse of the driver flashing a thumbs-up—only to turn the thumb down immediately after.

Provocation.

It was a blatant, undisguised provocation. Intolerable!

Li Ruo fumed, "Bastard! So what if your car’s a little better? If we switched to the same car, we’d still beat you! Ye Chen, you haven’t lost yet, floor it!"

Ye Chen paid her no heed, gripping the wheel tightly. He knew the race wasn’t over—there was still a chance to reclaim the lead, and that chance lay at the final bend.

Thunder rumbled through the mountain valley, the engines roaring like wild beasts. These two cars had long since left the rest of the field behind. Racers from Jianghuai pinned their hopes on Li Ruo, while Hong Kong’s team cheered for Hao. Even the cheer squads were locked in wild rivalry.

"The final bend. This is it!" Ye Chen gritted his teeth. He had to catch up. As the rival slowed ever so slightly, Ye Chen pressed harder, pushing past two hundred kilometers per hour—no longer enough to overtake. He floored the gas again.

"Idiot! You’re over two-thirty now—are you trying to get us killed?" Li Ruo’s voice trembled with fear.

Indeed, the speed had surged to two hundred and thirty. This was the threshold of peril—even professional Formula One drivers could only manage two-forty through such a corner in their specialized machines. Yet here was Ye Chen, driving a rookie-level sports car as if it were a formula racer.

"Does he have a death wish?" The Batmobile’s driver stared at his dash: one-fifty on the speedo. But Ye Chen’s car streaked past like a bolt of black lightning, leaving him in awe. The next moment, Ye Chen’s car seemed to soar like a bird, shooting through the bend and then vanishing without a trace.

"My god!" Li Ruo felt this was the most nerve-wracking day of her life. She hovered on the razor’s edge between life and death, seeing the specter of death waving at her. A fine sheen of sweat beaded her brow. She looked anxiously at Ye Chen and asked, "Ye Chen, are you even human?"

Ye Chen maneuvered the car with tense precision. As he cleared the final bend, he let off the clutch and tapped the accelerator again, shooting forward like an arrow loosed from a bow. Ye Chen grinned and said, "I’m not human... because I’m a god!"

"Go to hell!" Li Ruo snapped, feigning annoyance.

The rest of the track was a breeze. After the final kilometer, the finish line’s colorful tape appeared before them. When the crowd saw the black Ferrari 599 streak across first, shock rippled through everyone. At the foot of the mountain, the band and the Hong Kong cheer squad were in an uproar. They had gathered to celebrate Hao’s expected victory, never dreaming things would end like this.

"How could this happen?"

"My god, someone actually beat Hao’s ultimate edition Black Phantom?!"

The crowd was abuzz. Within seconds, the black Batmobile finally crossed the finish. Ye Chen pulled into the rest area, turned to Li Ruo, and said, "President Li, when do I get my reward?"

"Are you sure you want it?" Li Ruo flashed a bewitching smile, her eyes curving like crescent moons—stunning and unforgettable. Ye Chen nodded eagerly. With a beauty like this, if he didn’t claim his prize now, she’d surely forget by morning. Swallowing hard, he said, "Hurry up, I risked my life for this!"

Li Ruo giggled, placed her right hand on her lips, then brushed it across Ye Chen’s cheek. "There, you’ve had my kiss!"

Ye Chen was stunned, his face falling instantly.

"What’s wrong? Not satisfied?" Li Ruo teased, eyes twinkling.

Ye Chen took a deep breath, looked at her earnestly, and said, "President Li, look at my lips—what a rip-off!"

Li Ruo burst into laughter, so dazzling that even flowers paled in comparison. Ye Chen shook his head helplessly. "Alright, let’s switch seats."

"Why?" Li Ruo was puzzled.

"I don’t want anyone to notice!" Ye Chen snorted, unfastening his seatbelt. Li Ruo quickly caught on and did the same. The cramped interior of the sports car left little room to maneuver, but fortunately, Li Ruo was slender and Ye Chen not overly burly. He beckoned, "You climb over first, then I’ll slide across."

"Ah?" Li Ruo hesitated, realizing that such a move in this tight space meant unavoidable closeness. Before she could decide, Ye Chen had already pulled her over. With no choice, she climbed over the gearshift towards him, her body pressed almost entirely against his. In that moment, Ye Chen inhaled her delicate fragrance, nearly losing himself.

Li Ruo, bent over in front of him, unwittingly exposed the inside of her white T-shirt to Ye Chen’s gaze.

Boom—

His mind exploded like a missile. Before his eyes were two flawless, translucent mounds, their snowy fullness held by a white bra, mesmerizing him beyond resistance. He gulped heavily, his eyes glowing with a wolfish light. Li Ruo sensed his ragged breathing and his utter stillness. Following his gaze, her face flushed crimson. She clutched her collar and snapped, "Pervert! Stare any longer and I’ll kick you out!"

"I’m not looking, not looking!" Ye Chen quickly covered his eyes and slid into the passenger seat. After much awkward maneuvering, Ye Chen had managed to get more than his fair share of contact. Internally, he grinned—no kiss, but plenty of other benefits. Li Ruo felt flushed all over; Ye Chen’s hands had wandered everywhere, and she wished she could chop them off and toss them to the dogs.

Inside the car, all was still, the cheers outside seeming a world away.

Ye Chen muttered, "Shall we... go out?"

"Hmph!" Li Ruo was still sulking.

By now, all the racecars had arrived. The injured were sent to hospital, the damaged vehicles hauled off. Young Master Wei led a crowd to Li Ruo’s car and tapped on the window. Li Ruo opened the door and stepped out.

"Congratulations, President Li, on taking the grand prize!" Wei offered his hand.

"Mhm," Li Ruo responded curtly. All eyes turned to her; the men’s eyes shone like lightning, and a thunderous cheer erupted. Such a beautiful woman, and a racer too—she was simply astonishing. The black Batmobile’s driver climbed out, his companion, alluring as a siren, stood by his side, casting a provocative glare at Li Ruo. It was clear she was envious of Li Ruo’s irresistible charm.

Inside and out, the air was charged with excitement.
