The sudden return of the Forest Nymph Legion instantly more than doubled Li Mingxing’s strength. Their presence not only compensated for the deficiency in Li Mingxing’s healing troops but also provided him with a new method of magical attack.
Yet the most important thing wasn’t this. It was that Li Mingxing finally had a follower capable of leading independently by his side. Moreover, this follower’s attributes perfectly matched this parallel world. Li Mingxing even contemplated letting Elsa manage the projection of his city here on her own.
However, seeing Elsa’s current triumphant expression, Li Mingxing chose not to reveal all this. Instead, he turned his attention to the remaining thirty-eight young druid girls of the Forest Nymph Legion.
Only now did Li Mingxing notice that although these three druid girls still wore their leafy outfits, there were subtle changes in the details.
Among them, three wore hats shaped like eagle heads; five donned hats resembling bear heads; and four had shoulder guards resembling claws.
These were the druids who had chosen the path of transformation. It was said that upon their next advancement, they would become raptor, fang, and claw druids.
Of course, besides these twelve druids whose attire had changed, another ten had also undergone transformations in their clothing, though not toward beast-like forms, but rather tree-like.
For instance, four female druids’ leaf garments had become greener than those of ordinary druids, with a faint purplish-red hue. Three had gained belts made of vines around their waists, and another had gloves fashioned from leaves.
According to some, these three walked the healing path of druids. Their future potential was not yet evident, but once they advanced, they would become medical druids who enhanced healing effects through their own magic power, oak spirit druids who amplified healing by drawing on the surrounding natural aura, and nature druids who improved healing through herbal remedies.
Aside from these, the remaining druids showed no change in clothing but displayed alterations in their staffs. Their staffs had visibly doubled in length compared to before. Additionally, five druids had animal figurines adorning their staffs. Among the remaining eleven, four staffs bore blue gems, three had green gems, another three had red gems, and two were adorned with earth-colored stones.
These represented druids who had enhanced their spellcasting abilities. Upon further advancement, they would become summoning druids focused on calling animals, thunder druids controlling lightning and air, forest druids commanding trees, destructive druids wielding fire, and mountain druids mastering the earth.
After hearing these druid advancement paths, Li Mingxing refrained from commenting on their choices. After all, these young girls understood their own circumstances best, and their decisions were usually the most fitting. What Li Mingxing pondered now was how to further strengthen them and organize them into powerful druid squads.
While Li Mingxing was contemplating this, Elsa was already conversing with several harpy witches, updating them on what had transpired during her absence by Li Mingxing’s side.

When she learned that Li Mingxing had depleted a once nearly five hundred-strong force down to so few, Elsa sighed deeply. “It seems our departure caused quite a bit of trouble for you, Master. But perhaps that’s for the best—it has revealed some of your weaknesses. At least you need to strengthen your leadership abilities.”
Elsa’s insight was truly accurate. Li Mingxing was indeed reflecting on his leadership skills, though his considerations were more extensive than Elsa’s, now that he understood how to calculate the number of followers he could command.
With his own city and skills like the Emperor’s Aura leveling up, Li Mingxing could gain new follower slots, but the growth was slow. His city was only at the village level, allowing room for just two followers, and each level of Emperor’s Aura granted only one additional follower slot.
This made Li Mingxing feel his followers were insufficient. He was now considering studying leadership skills. Each leadership level could increase follower capacity by three and boost soldiers’ morale in battle, preventing them from fleeing due to broken spirit.
However, Li Mingxing doubted he could learn leadership skills on elven territory. His mentor, a hero of the death domain, also did not possess leadership skills—he simply did not need them.
Therefore, the only option for Li Mingxing to learn leadership was one of the three cities in this parallel world—the one where the human Sword Saint resided.
Having realized this, and knowing that pressing forward might expose him to pursuit from Dragon City, Li Mingxing abandoned the plan to advance further. Though he had accepted a task from the witches, no deadline was stipulated. He instead rebranded his army under the guise of merchants and headed toward the human city to the west.
Before departing, Li Mingxing visited the ancestral totem site of the centaurs, where he slew the remaining nineteen centaurs and performed a ritual sacrifice.
After these deeds, he observed that the darkened forest, which had been expanding outward, retreated back within the woods. From a distance, one could not even tell the forest had been corrupted by darkness.
Li Mingxing nodded and instructed that the nineteen centaur skulls be buried separately within ten meters of each other. He also asked Elsa to take the right-hand bones of these centaurs away.
Finally, Li Mingxing spoke softly, “I hope my method is correct. In half a month, nineteen new centaur tribes should emerge here.”
“Master, is that true? Will this really work?” someone asked.
“I hope so. This method is something I learned from my mentor to produce fixed troop sourcesI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
