Chapter 2: Astonishing! The Lord God's Space Actually...
Coldness. Trembling...
A man’s icy voice cut through the air: “Among all the newcomers this time, you have the worst qualities.”
Zheng Zha turned to look, only to see a young man with black hair and a scarred face giving him a cold, mocking smile. He looked to be in his twenties.
Turning around, the scarred man, clearly the veteran here, continued with chilling indifference, “Not just him. All of you are the worst batch of newcomers I’ve ever seen.”
“The Lord God has already injected the basic information into your minds. You’ll have to figure out the rest yourselves. Now, introduce yourselves,” the scarred man said. He seemed unfazed by the fact that the number of people here obviously exceeded twenty, nor did he notice anything odd about some of the group. Everything appeared perfectly natural to him.
“My name is Cheng Pan. I like playing farming games,” said a nondescript young man.
“I’m Ren Di. I also enjoy farming games, but I’m more into logistics,” said a youth in heavy combat armor, addressing Cheng Pan.
“Let’s chat more when we have time!” Cheng Pan smiled.
“Sure!” Ren Di replied.
Next, a teenager in monk’s robes stepped forward, joining his hands awkwardly. “My Buddhist name is Zhen Ding, but my secular name is Meng Qi. Also, I have a wife.”
He gestured toward three others beside him and added with a smile, “These are my college roommates.”
A man in black robes, wearing gold-rimmed glasses and looking every bit the scientist, adjusted his glasses and smiled genially. “I’m Lucien, Meng Qi’s roommate. I have a wife, too.”
A well-dressed young man, who looked perfectly normal, gave a mysterious smile. “My name is Shao Yi’an, also Meng Qi’s roommate. As a normal person, of course I have a wife.”
The last of Meng Qi’s roommates, a delicate-looking Taoist in traditional robes, frowned after the previous two finished. “I am Taoist Shi Xuan, also Meng Qi’s roommate. I don’t have a wife.”
“And I feel like eating sizzling squid right now.”
The other three exchanged knowing smiles.
The scar-faced veteran who had been leading the introductions finally sensed something was off, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. Irritated, he strode forward and snapped impatiently, “Are you guys done with your pointless chatter yet?”
“The rest of you, hurry up. Don’t waste time,” he barked, waving at those who hadn’t spoken.
“My name is Wang Zongchao,” said a man who clearly had martial training.
“I’m Qiming,” announced a pale-faced youth.
“I’m Liu Yibin. I was in the hospital before coming here. Don’t mind if I’m a burden,” said a youth in hospital pajamas.
“Hello, I’m Jiang Mu, a language teacher,” said a white-haired teenager.
“Moshijun,” declared a boy in casual clothes.
“I’m Su Luo, and this is San’er, my apprentice,” said a young man cradling a little girl.
“Hello, I’m San’er,” piped up the little girl from his arms.
“Yan Luo,” said a boy whose eyes were cold and devoid of emotion.
“I’m Liu Shiqi, known as the Goddess of Luck. But luck and charm have nearly gotten me assaulted more than once… sigh…” said a woman who seemed the very embodiment of sanctity. Her beauty was such that only the most depraved would dare harbor disrespectful thoughts—her “luck” indeed was something to behold.
“I am Taoist Lu Yun,” announced a youth in Taoist robes.
“I am Taoist Xuan Tianji,” said another robed youth.
“Lu, let’s discuss the Dao sometime!” one offered.
“Excellent!” the other replied.
“Zhang Liang Spicy Hotpot—we’re different. I’m Zhang Liang, owner of Zhang Liang Spicy Hotpot,” said a young man in a suit.

“Yu Tian,” pronounced a man in imperial robes.
“Qianmu Liushang,” said a youth with a mischievous grin.
“Tang Tian,” introduced a young man in a work uniform labeled with a water and electricity company logo.
“Zhou Qi,” said a young man in a white lab coat.
“Su Li,” said a pale young man whose thick brows framed eyes bright as stars, giving his otherwise ordinary face an air of distant profundity.
“Hello everyone, I’m Zhang Tianyi, formerly known as Zhang Dingzhang,” announced a muscular man in a black suit, bearing a striking resemblance to the laborer from “Kung Fu.”
“Su Jun,” said a young man in white, handsome and spirited, with long hair flying, a sword slung across his back, exuding a heroic aura.
“Zhang Daoyi,” said another youth who looked like a martial artist.
“I’m Xiaoyan. I used to worry about rent before I came here—now that’s the least of my problems,” said a handsome youth with skin as smooth as a girl’s, his eyes carrying a hint of captivating charm.
“Xiao Hong,” said a young man who looked like he was cosplaying Sasaki Kojiro from “Fate/Stay Night.”
“Li Chen,” said a youth with flowing black hair to his waist, features as fine as carved jade, with a green glass bead in hand and a bright smile.
“Jiang Cang,” said another youth in an ornate robe embroidered with clouds, birds, and beasts, who grinned good-naturedly and silently stood behind Li Chen.
“My name is Bai Haoran, I’m a college student,” said a somewhat silly-looking youth with black glasses.
Li Chen sighed and pulled this clueless younger brother behind himself.
“Bai Luoran,” said a youth who looked to be a high school freshman.
“Zhou Bofu,” declared a towering brute over two meters tall, with a fierce face.
“Li Pu,” said a plain-looking man who resembled a homebody.
“Lin Feng,” said a student-type youth, but with a murderous aura.
“Hello everyone, I’m Feng Bujue,” joked a young man in a purple suit.
“Chen Sheng!” said a man in a traditional Chinese jacket, clearly a skilled martial artist.
“Lu Cha,” said a barefoot young man in hospital clothes.
“Qing Fen,” muttered a blond youth who looked like a street punk.
“Chu Hao,” said a bespectacled young man with a calm demeanor.
“Hello all, I’m Bai Shuo,” said a youth in sunglasses, seemingly blind.
“Bai Jinglang,” said a white-robed youth who looked like a scientist.
“Dugu Feng,” said a woman in ancient dress, breathtakingly beautiful, giving everyone a brief glance.
“My name is Li Jiayu, and this is my younger sister. Our elders were lazy so we were given the same name. Later she changed hers to Su Haoyue. That young man over there is my friend, Lu Xiaofeng,” a white-haired, blue-eyed girl said, pointing first at a black-haired, red-eyed little girl and then at a handsome Taoist-robed youth.
“I’m Su Haoyue,” the black-haired, red-eyed girl said with a smile.
“I am Taoist Lu Xiaofeng. Li Jiayu, it’s been a while,” said the Taoist-robed youth.
“I am Liling,” said a man in a black trench coat styled like a priest’s robe, speaking softly.
“Hello everyone, I’m Wang Yuyan,” said a long-haired girl in a pale yellow dress.
“Pleased to meet you all, I’m Zhu Jue,” said a man in a white lab coat who seemed to have a touch of madness.
“I’m Su Jing,” said a handsome, gentle-looking youth in school uniform.
“Shen Yi,” said a composed young man with a faint smile.

“My name is Lu Bairan,” said a sword-wielding youth in black.
“Jiang Ning,” said a man in wizard’s robes.
“Zhu Peng,” this time a youth in a golden Taoist robe embroidered with silver thread, with a purple ancient sword on his back adorned with a yin-yang symbol—he looked every bit the genuine Taoist master.
“Gu Shaoshang, my hobby is Go,” said a youth in black robes, his appearance strikingly elegant and noble, with an aura both calm and quietly intimidating.
“I’m Mi Liancheng, an online novelist,” said a harmless-looking young man.
“Lan Mu,” said a thin man with cold eyes.
“Li Yue,” said a man whose eyes held a different kind of calm, as tranquil as a lake without ripples, as if he had seen through life and death.
“Ling Donglai. My specialty? Does fighting count?” said a youth in green, with a white jade hairpin, a small bell at his waist, and a purple flute in hand.
“I’m really interested in this place. It’s great—I’ve been looking for it for a long time. I’m Chen Ang, from the Republic, a newcomer like you all. My profession is scientist, my specialty and hobby is research,” said a young man in a meticulous lab coat, his eyes bright with curiosity.
“Hello, I’m Chen Mo. Many people call me Dr. Chen, I’m the big boss of Umbrella Corporation. My specialties and hobbies are the same as Chen Ang’s,” said another youth, identical to Chen Ang in both dress and demeanor.
“My name is Zhao Qi. I’m a teacher. You can call me Old Zhao, or like my unruly students, Teacher Zhao. Let’s all get along,” said a gentle, elegant youth in white robes.
“My name is Lin Qing, currently an auxiliary employee at the Grand Adorable Taiyi Division,” said a youth in staff uniform.
“I am Taoist Tai Ming, secular name Li Yuan,” said a small, slender Taoist child with waist-length white hair, a crimson mark between the brows, red lips, white teeth, and a gentle, jade-like demeanor.
“I’m Lin Dong. Although I’m a cosplayer, I have deep research in English, classical literature, calculus, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer programming. I also have my own views on politics. As for sports, just look at my physique,” said a young man in a black suit, taking the initiative to introduce himself.
“Li Anping,” said a tall, burly man coldly.
“Hello everyone, I’m Ye Ren,” said a boy with a playful air.
“Galon,” said a sturdy man, his tone cold.
“My name is Victor, but you can also call me by my Chinese name—Li Mo. I’m a scientist, but don’t misunderstand, I’m not a cosplayer like Lin Dong—this robe was tailored from my wife’s clothes,” said a youth in a tailored purple imperial robe.
“My name is Bai Ge. My specialty? Does imagination count?” said a youth who looked like a private detective.
“Mo Huang,” said a youth wearing a Monkey King mask.
“Luo Chenxi,” said a youth whose skin was as smooth and flawless as porcelain, with waist-length jet-black hair and large, ink-black eyes—prettier than most girls.
“My name is Zhou Yang, I’m a businessman,” said a youth in fine clothes.
“I’m Li Yu, same profession as Zhou Yang, though my merchandise is a bit… special, don’t get the wrong idea,” said a scholar-robed youth.
“Brother Li, are you interested in doing some business?” Zhou Yang asked with a hearty smile.
Li Yu frowned and waved his hand, “I don’t do those kinds of shady deals, I’m a normal person.”
“Heh, Brother Li, you misunderstood. I meant light bulb deals,” Zhou Yang replied.
“Oh, oh…”
The two businessmen, finding each other kindred spirits, ignored the rest and moved to a corner to discuss deals.
Zheng Zha stood dumbfounded, at a loss for what to do. He noticed a young man beside him, dressed in Pikachu pajamas, who seemed the very image of a shut-in. His skin was pale and smooth from rarely going outside, but his messy hair spoiled his delicate look. He wore black glasses and seemed rather melancholic.
During the introductions, Zheng Zha noticed the shut-in’s expression shift from panic, to confusion, to terror, to despair, and finally to emptiness, muttering under his breath, “It’s over, it’s all over…”
