Chapter 145 Teacher Black Panther
It was a very simple logic.
Kyle had not the slightest interest in whether Wakanda wanted to reveal its existence to the outside world or not.
What he wanted to discuss with the King was the technological cooperation between the Carl family and Wakanda.
The old king was a smart man, and naturally understood Kyle's meaning quickly. After a moment of silence, he spoke, "So, this is a technological cooperation conducted on the premise of not exposing Wakanda's information to the outside world?"
"Precisely." Kyle nodded. Howard also looked at the King with great anticipation.
This was an opportunity at the door of technology. With the support of Wakanda's advanced technology, he believed that many black-tech products still in the theoretical stage could be brought out decades ahead of schedule.
"Then what do you have to offer in exchange for cooperation with Wakanda?" The King's expression turned solemn as he slowly said, "I do not mean to look down on you. The newly released mobile phones and computers from Stark Industries are cross-century works of genius. Stark Industries may stand at the pinnacle of technology in the outside world, but on that merit alone, it is not qualified to cooperate with Wakanda's Science Division."
Kyle and Howard exchanged glances, and both of them couldn't help smiling.
"Your Majesty, in the field of science, Stark Industries naturally cannot compare to Wakanda at present, but we hold the technological treasures of the new era of the future, we simply lack the current capability to develop and manufacture them." Howard responded with a beaming smile and a definitive tone.
Despite having witnessed the degree of Wakanda's technological advancement, he remained full of confidence in his own attainments in the field of science, as well as the cutting-edge black technologies he had mastered with Kyle's help.
"Can you briefly reveal what they are?" The King asked.
"This..." Howard hesitated, unsure of how to explain.
"Your Majesty, why not let Howard take you to see for yourself?" Kyle eased his embarrassment.
"Myself?"
Before the King could fully understand, he saw Kyle rise from his seat, don a sling ring on his left hand, and draw circles with his right hand as sparks of glowing fire spun into a wheel before them.
In about five seconds, a portal formed and fixed itself in the center of the palace's main hall. Through the glowing circular aperture, the scene of a research laboratory on the other side could be seen.
Kyle smiled faintly, "This is a portal leading to New York, United States. Your Majesty, if you trust us, step through this door and let Howard show you the technology we have mastered."
"Incredible. Crossing space directly, is this one of the technologies you have mastered?!" The King stood up from his throne in shock, approaching the portal to inspect it from left to right.
"This is not science, this is magic." Howard corrected, leading the way across the portal, "Your Majesty, we possess scientific and technological achievements that Wakanda has yet to grasp. Step through this portal, and I will take you to Stark Industries' research laboratory to see them."
The King readily agreed, showing no fear that this might be a trap or a lie. He followed Howard through the portal, leaving the main hall of the palace.
Kyle maintained the portal with his mana, sat back down in his seat in the main hall, crossed his legs, and waited patiently.
Mutual understanding was an important prerequisite for whether a long-term cooperation could be reached.
Kyle believed that the new element capable of replacing infinite energy, along with the semi-artificial intelligence possessing all foundational intelligence—these two world-changing technological products—would be enough to completely convince the King of Wakanda.
Ten minutes later.
The King and Howard had yet to return, when suddenly the female guard's greeting of "His Royal Highness the Prince" echoed from outside the doors of the main hall. Immediately after, the heavy doors swung open, and Prince T'Chaka walked in, dressed in a formal black suit.
Kyle raised his gaze from his seat. T'Chaka had merely changed his clothes, but his aura was profound, his gaze sharp and majestic, and his every gesture carried the demeanor of a true king.
At this moment, he possessed the same deep blue card as the King.
[Black Panther Legacy]: The power lineage passed down through generations of the Black Panther. Rare blue ability card.
The Wakandan royal family acquires the title of the Black Panther protector after succeeding to the throne. By consuming a heart-shaped herb, the Black Panther experiences a massive enhancement in senses and physical attributes, gaining superhuman speed, agility, strength, and endurance.
The Black Panther powers can be removed through another potion.
Current Status: Unable to extract.
So this was the effect brought by the heart-shaped herb.
Kyle clicked his tongue in wonder. With the Black Panther Legacy, the physical constitution gained was by no means inferior to a Super Soldier just after receiving the serum.
The only drawback was that this was not a complete mutation, but merely borrowing the inherited power of the Black Panther through the heart-shaped herb. One could no longer break through limits via acquired training, and natural aging and lifespan remained no different from ordinary humans.
"Mr. Kyle. Why are you the only one here? Where are my father and your friend?" T'Chaka walked into the hall, looking stunned for more than a second upon seeing only Kyle.
"They are in New York." Kyle pointed to the portal in the middle of the main hall and briefly explained the situation.
"So that's how it is." T'Chaka breathed a sigh of relief, approached Kyle, and sat in the seat next to him.
Kyle looked at him in surprise, "Aren't you afraid of me? And you just believed my words so easily?"
"Of course. You are the legendary hero who symbolizes peace." T'Chaka nodded as if it were only natural, a smile appearing on his face, "Besides, even my father trusts you now, which proves that my judgment wasn't wrong."
"Your father is a good king." Kyle evaluated softly.
"Yes, he is certainly a good king, and a good father too."
Saying this, T'Chaka gave a wry smile, "I know. Disregarding his aging body, my father challenged you to a fight so that the people would recognize your strength, and no longer stubbornly follow laws that strictly made you an enemy."
With a bitter tone, he continued, "Today, he sacrificed his own invincible glory to pave the final stepping stone for my succession to the throne, while at the same time planting a seed in the hearts of the Wakandan people—a seed that yearns for the outside world and no longer resists outsiders."
"T'Chaka. You are wise and clever. Under your leadership, Wakanda might truly face the world and make all its secrets public one day," Kyle said with a smile.
"I also hope that day comes soon." T'Chaka took a deep breath, full of ambition and resolve.
Just then, Howard and the King returned from the portal into the main hall.
"Father." T'Chaka hurriedly stood up and stepped forward. The King took his hand, turned to Kyle, and said, "Since T'Chaka is right here, I will speak on behalf of Wakanda and agree to the initial phase of technological cooperation with Stark Industries. Tomorrow, when T'Chaka officially becomes king, all matters concerning our cooperation will be arranged by him."
"Very well." Kyle nodded. Although he had expected it, hearing the King's words made him quietly let out a breath of relief.
"However, I have a condition. I hope you will agree." The King said in a deep voice.
"What condition? Let's hear it first." Kyle pondered and asked.
"I hope you will act as a teacher and mentor T'Chaka in combat arts at the appropriate times!"
The old king said with a completely serious expression.
