Kyle and Howard were both decisive men with strong opinions and bold actions. Sometimes, a simple promise or choice could outweigh countless worldly matters and priceless treasures.

After this candid conversation, Howard had essentially tied his fate to Kyle’s great ship—if Kyle sank, Howard would hardly escape the disaster; if Kyle rose, Howard would soar alongside him.

The future empire of Stark Industries, with its vast wealth and influence spanning military weaponry, cutting-edge technology, and biomedical sciences, was thus handed over without resistance.

Yet Kyle paid no heed to Stark Industries itself; the only thing he valued now was Howard, a top-tier talent.

Moreover, this was an opportunity to free Howard from the burdensome role of public corporate owner and formally transition him into a dedicated scientific research and logistics role—a prospect Kyle welcomed.

“Stark Industries will quietly fall under the Carl family’s assets, though publicly you can appoint someone trustworthy to manage it for you. Whenever you tire of research, you can always return to being the boss,” Kyle said sincerely, looking Howard in the eyes. “I will provide you with a vast stage and ample resources, so you may fully unleash your talents and glimpse the truths of science.”

“Then it’s settled!” Howard nodded solemnly, aware that he was stepping through a doorway of opportunity and choosing a path diverging from his original life trajectory.

“In that case, let us toast to our deepening cooperation!” Kyle smiled warmly, lifting a wine glass more than half filled with red wine. Howard quickly poured wine into his own glass from the bottle and clinked it with Kyle’s.

“Boss, I should be the one to toast you first.” Howard shrugged and drained his glass in one gulp.

Their first tentative business talk had taken place at a bar in a European ballroom, discussing a forty percent stake in Stark Industries. This second meeting, however, happened aboard a speedboat anchored somewhere in the Atlantic, discussing ownership of the entire Stark Industries and Howard’s future.

“You said there’s no island shown on the map here, right?” Kyle asked, blinking after finishing his drink.

“If anything reality-shattering appears, don’t hide it. It’s terrifying otherwise,” Howard replied with a wry smile. “Your very existence is the greatest miracle. If you suddenly turned into an island right now, I’d accept it.”

“That’s your wish, then…” Kyle said, strolling to the edge of the boat’s deck and gazing out over the shimmering vast ocean.

His mind delved into the card space, drawing the single purple creature card stored at the highest point of the biological zone—the only purple-grade card he possessed.

[Colossal Ancient Dragon Turtle]
Current status: Summoning conditions met. Summon now?

“Confirm summoning!” Kyle whispered.

In an instant, both Kyle and Howard widened their eyes in unison.

Before the speedboat, low in the sky, the massive silhouette of a colossal beast suddenly appeared. Its immense body stretched beyond sight, and at the moment of summoning, the vast sea around them for miles was cast into the shadow of this gigantic creature.

The beast resembled a giant alligator turtle, its whole body a deep brown. The defining feature was simply its size—immense beyond measure. Even Earth’s largest known creatures like the blue whale could barely compare to its single claw.

Its carapace was entirely covered with solidified coral and vegetation, forming forests and mountains atop its back, as if carrying a giant island.

“My God!” Howard gasped in horror, eyes wide and trembling as he stared at the creature Kyle had summoned.

In the presence of such a being, humans were insignificantly smaller than ants.

Kyle was equally stunned. This was his first time summoning the ancient dragon turtle, and the physical reality of the creature far surpassed the card’s description.

No wonder it was a purple creature card—truly impressive.

But any admiration quickly vanished. The massive turtle, hovering low in the air, let out a mournful call and then its mountain-like body plummeted heavily toward the ocean surface below.

“Kyle, tell me this isn’t real,” Howard stammered in disbelief.

Without hesitation, Kyle grabbed Howard’s arm and immediately activated an aerial dash, surging upward amid a burst of energy tides.

The ancient giant turtle crashed into the sea with an enormous splash, its weight in the tens of thousands of tons violently battering the surrounding waters and sending waves tens of meters high outward.

The modern speedboat, bobbing on the waves like a leaf, was tossed about violently until it disappeared without a trace.

Kyle held Howard’s arm tightly, gliding midair with his wings, both drenched by the spraying seawater.

As the waves settled, the turtle’s lower body sank beneath the surface, leaving only its shell visible above the water—truly resembling a turtle-shaped island.

Howard, soaked in his gentleman’s suit, spat salty seawater and stammered, “So this is your so-called turtle-shaped deserted island?”

This was obviously the largest giant turtle monster in history! Its exposure would no doubt attract the frantic attention of scientists worldwide.

“More or less,” Kyle replied. “To me, it’s little different from a normal island, except it can move freely across the ocean.”

Kyle glided forward, descending onto the island’s back, leading Howard into its inner expanse.

“You mean you’ve tamed this giant turtle?” Howard asked, uncertain.

“Yes. It obeys only me,” Kyle nodded. The greatest advantage of the creature card was the compelled obedience of the summoned being.

“Controllable—that really does make it a ‘movable island,’” Howard mused aloud, beginning to trek into the forested interior.

Their purpose in venturing out today was to conduct a preliminary survey of the island and begin planning a base.

The turtle’s broad back accommodated mountains, forests, lakes, and streams. Without prior knowledge of its true nature, Howard would have mistaken it for a regular island.

They wandered about the island until they reached the mountaintop, from which they could clearly view the entire island’s outline.

“This place can serve as the foundation of the base. You can build as large as you want,” Howard said, though a trace of concern lingered in his voice. “But won’t its existence be too conspicuous? Satellites or ships might spot it someday.”

“I’ve thought of that. No rush. When the base is ready, I’ll handle it,” Kyle answered.

He was well aware that Wakanda possessed technology capable of concealing entire future cities.

Regarding the fabrication of new elements and transcending the limits of contemporary technology, such a wild yet advanced place was indispensable.
