New York, USA. In the office of a congressman.

A wine glass, still half-filled with red wine, was hurled violently against the floor. The female secretary retreated timidly into a corner as Congressman Ivan’s face twisted into a snarl, his voice a low, furious growl: "What is going on! Is Japan actually preparing to surrender!?"

The secretary replied, "Our sources confirm it. The Emperor is already persuading the military factions and the cabinet; once the troops return to the mainland, they will announce their surrender."

"A bunch of useless fools! With the power of an entire nation, they can't even handle one man!" Ivan sat in his office chair, his forehead beaded with cold sweat. After a long moment of panicked contemplation, he concluded, "He must not return—if he comes back, I am finished."

"By the time Japan announces its surrender in a couple of days, he will return. There is no stopping that trend now," the secretary said helplessly.

"Then he must die in Japan. If their armies, ninjas, and fighter jets can't kill him, then..." Ivan paused, his voice turning icy. "Didn't the Strategic Research Department say today that the two experimental nuclear prototypes are basically ready?"

"Yes." The secretary looked at him with trepidation. "But there are only two experimental prototypes. Even if dropped on Tokyo, they would likely cover less than half the area."

Ivan scratched his head aggressively, veins bulging as he muttered, "Half is enough! I don't believe his luck will hold forever; I don't believe the leader of Hydra or the underground spirits will protect him."

The secretary continued to argue, "The high command of the American Empire already feels they made a mistake by pushing a war hero like Kyle into Tokyo. They will never agree to your using nuclear weapons."

"Once a mistake is made, you have to follow the path of that mistake to the end. This is a way to test nuclear weapons to intimidate other nations while accidentally eliminating a powerful competitor who threatens our standing. They won't dare to agree and become eternal sinners, but they won't actively veto it either."

Ivan had made up his mind. He squinted and said, "Go, use the people we have planted near the high command. I will guide and facilitate this matter myself!"

"I understand," the secretary nodded.

Half a day later.

On the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan, two figures—one large, one small—walked across the wilderness.

Kyle’s Venom suit was disguised as a hooded leather jacket, jeans, and leather boots, making him look more mature and composed. He wore the hood to conceal his striking blonde hair.

Yu Tong had her waist-length black hair tied back and was wearing a slightly oversized Japanese kimono. Because even in Kyle’s vast card storage space there were no children’s clothes, he had been forced to find a temporary set at the research facility for her.

She clattered along in wooden sandals behind Kyle. Her small, 1.1-meter frame didn't even reach his waist, and the exposed fair skin made her look like an exquisite porcelain doll.

"Right, here, take this." Kyle thought for a moment, pulled out a blue card, and tossed it behind him as it transformed into a physical object.

Yu Tong fixed her gaze on it without reaching out. The rectangular object hovered horizontally before her—it was the Japanese sword Murasame, its blade shimmering with a cold light in the sun.

"Your telekinetic ability needs to adapt to the weight of this Murasame. Once you can control it freely and move it ten meters away from your body, your offensive capabilities will increase by a significant margin," Kyle mused.

Telekinetic enhancement was neither particularly strong nor weak; the weight and distance of the objects one could manipulate heavily restricted the potential of the ability. However, if paired with a sodium-carbon steel sword, the effect would be entirely different, resulting in a qualitative leap.

Yu Tong nodded, appearing to half-understand. She treated it like a toy, and under her mental control, the Murasame sword began to slowly rotate, using her body as an axis within a one-meter radius.

Still, there was something strange about this...

Kyle glanced back, unable to help but complain internally. He said, "Come on, try attacking me."

Yu Tong lifted her gaze, and with her mind, she steered the tip of the Murasame to lunge toward his back. Kyle didn't even turn around; he simply flicked his right index finger, which was encased in a Vibranium gauntlet, and the Murasame was sent flying away with a hum.

"Too slow. Again." Kyle shook his head slightly. In truth, the speed was already quite impressive—an ordinary soldier would be unable to dodge it without warning—but to him, it was truly "too slow."

Yu Tong, feeling a bit unconvinced, continued to attack Kyle using the Murasame. The result was naturally a total defeat, but in the process, her telekinetic control became increasingly proficient.

The two continued on, one behind the other, approaching the main Army base in Tokyo.

"Alright, let's take a break," Kyle said. Behind him, Yu Tong was mentally exhausted, panting heavily as she dragged the Murasame with both hands.

"This should be the last battle of this trip to Japan," Kyle stood on a small hill, looking down at the massive encampment on the flat ground less than a hundred meters below.

The Japanese high command was finally wavering. If he stepped up the pace and delivered one final, devastating blow, that single straw would be enough to break the back of this frail camel.

*Hum—*

Just as Kyle was about to move, he keenly heard a sound and turned back. In the distance, at the edge of the sky, a B-29 bomber could be faintly seen streaking across the horizon.

Immediately after, an object was dropped.

"Wait, you've got to be kidding me?" Kyle’s mouth hung open, his worst fear flashing through his mind as he watched the object land several kilometers away.

*BOOM!*

A scorching, blinding white light erupted from the ground at the limit of his vision.

Kyle’s expression shifted violently. Reacting instantly, he scooped up Yu Tong and sprinted toward the main Army base at full speed.

Behind him, a massive mushroom cloud rose, expanding rapidly toward the sky and the earth. A scorching shockwave of energy rushed forward, obliterating everything in its path.

A nuclear bomb! It was actually a nuclear bomb!!!

Kyle’s eyes were bloodshot. He gripped Yu Tong, racing against death as the shockwave of the explosion continuously closed the distance behind him.

If he couldn't find sufficient cover and took the full force of the blast on open ground, he wouldn't need to wait for Thanos’s future snap—he would be reduced to ashes right here and now!

"Air Dash—come on, faster! Faster!" Kyle kicked off the air, pushing his already terrifying speed to another level. He tore through the air, diving straight into the base.

The main Army base was in total chaos; countless soldiers were fleeing in despair, and some officers were already disrobing to commit seppuku.

Kyle crashed into the base with Yu Tong. He scanned the area rapidly, spotted a sealed-off dry well, rushed forward, sliced the chains with the Murasame, and jumped down, pulling Yu Tong with him.

Almost the moment he landed in the well, the shockwave of the nuclear blast swallowed the base above. Dust and searing heat poured aggressively into the mouth of the well.

*Sssss—*

The first to scream was Venom, which quickly detached from Kyle’s body under the searing heat of the nuclear blast. Kyle gritted his teeth, bracing his hands against the well walls, using his bare torso to withstand the blast wave and radiation.

His tough skin and muscles were scorched and torn by the impact, only to be forcibly repaired by his healing factor. The damage and the healing became a grueling tug-of-war.

Kyle braced himself firmly, enduring the agony of bones feeling as if they were melting, standing tall and refusing to fall amidst the lingering aftermath of the nuclear bomb!
