The Sling Ring is a mystic artifact with a constant teleportation enchantment embedded within it. One only needs to concentrate, visualize the destination, and draw a circle in the air to open a portal.

In reality, aside from opening portals, it also serves as a spellcasting aid. It is an absolute essential for any Sorcerer of Kamar-Taj, and every single one of them carries one.

Without it, those fellows who "max out Constitution, put secondary stats into Spirit, and completely ignore Intelligence" wouldn't even be able to cast the most basic teleportation spells—with the Supreme Sorcerer being the sole exception.

Of course, for old Wang, this supplementary effect was entirely negligible.

It could be activated using any form of energy. The Vishanti worked, the Dark Dimension worked, and the Blood of Azeroth certainly worked as well. The energy consumption was minimal and practically negligible.

Old Wang quickly mastered the technique, and under the watchful eye of the Ancient One, he opened a portal and returned to San Juan.

This device was indeed remarkably useful. The consumed Blood of Azeroth was less than a tenth of what it would cost to exchange for the "Teleportation" spell directly, and the precision was far superior to that of a cross-universe spell exchange. An artifact was an artifact—high quality and cost-effective.

He had acquired a total of twelve rings previously. He only needed one for himself, and the remainder could be used to train others.

For example...

The Scarlet Witch?

Sensing old Wang's return, Daredevil, who had been busy digging holes to bury corpses, hurried over, closely followed by Stick and Black Sky.

A shadowy blur flashed past. Skye used the recoil of her seismic waves to travel, moving even faster than Daredevil. She was the first to reach old Wang, her hands patting all over him to inspect his condition.

Only after confirming that old Wang was completely unhurt did she let out a sigh of relief and finally set her mind at ease.

"Caecilius didn't come." Once Skye finished her inspection, Daredevil finally spoke up.

"As expected." Old Wang smiled.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Ancient One must have been keeping a close eye on the place, just waiting for Caecilius to walk right into the trap.

Caecilius wasn't that foolish; otherwise, he wouldn't have survived as a villain for two hours in the movie.

"Um, the brain mapping has only just barely begun."

Fitz walked over completely out of it, gesturing as he explained, "Brain mapping is actually related to a person's mental willpower. The stronger the resistance, the harder it is to map. The Winter Soldier is fairly normal, but Whitehall is quite strange—it's actually much faster than anticipated. We'll be done in half a day at most. Are the members of Hydra really that weak-willed? Why do they feel even less resilient than S.H.I.E.L.D. agents?"

After being tortured like that, their mental endurance had already been frayed a hundred times over... Old Wang asked, "What about Madame Gao and the others?"

Compared to the Winter Soldier and Whitehall, old Wang cared much more about the five fingers of the Hand, as their fate was tied to K'un-Lun.

"Their corpses are remarkably fresh. Simmons says there is almost no cellular damage, which is very strange. That's a good thing, meaning we can perform brain mapping directly on the bodies. However, because cellular activity is slightly insufficient, there might be some data loss or certain irreversible damage."

Fitz continued, "Simmons's research has made some progress. She says she can resurrect the five fingers and suggests we wait before doing the brain mapping... I don't understand this field too well, so you'll have to ask her yourself."

With that, he wandered off vaguely, muttering to himself as he walked, completely immersed in his own world.

Old Wang nodded. "I'll go take a look."

The biochemical laboratory was set up in a different warehouse. Since the new building hadn't been completed yet, they had to make do with temporary quarters.

The young woman valued neatness; a large array of equipment was stacked in an orderly fashion. The corpses of the five fingers were frozen nearby, and Simmons appeared to be analyzing and testing some tissue extracts.

"Boss."

Seeing old Wang arrive, Simmons beamed with excitement. "The bones of the Undying Dragon are simply marvelous! They contain so many components we've never seen before. As long as I can decode the structure and effects of these components, I could win the Nobel Prize—two of them at once!"

"There are many discoveries and inventions in this world worthy of the Nobel Prize, except that no one else knows about them."

Old Wang smiled and asked, "What kind of discoveries have you made?"

"The active components of the dragon bone can keep corpses fresh, allow damaged tissues and organs to heal automatically, and even resurrect the dead! However, there is a drawback: the resurrected organisms will suffer a certain degree of memory loss."

Simmons was entirely energized, her face flushed with an abnormal excitement. "But it doesn't matter. It's not organic amnesia, but functional amnesia, mainly related to the psychological experiences during the near-death state. It's a form of psychological trauma that can slowly recover over time."

"How long has it been since you slept? This won't do. The body is the capital of scientific research; you must ensure adequate rest."

Old Wang transmitted a stream of internal Qi through the air to help soothe her body and nodded. "Have you figured out a method for resurrection?"

"If we're talking about resurrecting ordinary people, it might still be a bit difficult and could potentially fail, but if it's just reviving those five, there's no problem at all!"

Simmons regained some vigor, brimming with confidence. "They already have residual active components of the dragon bone within their bodies, and their physiques are different from ordinary people, making them very easy to revive. Moreover, if I'm not mistaken, they won't suffer any memory loss after resurrection."

"Splendid." Old Wang gave her a thumbs-up in praise.

Simmons's cheeks flushed pink. Winning her boss's approval made her extremely happy, filling her entire being with drive and motivation.

"However, it won't happen overnight. I need some equipment and some raw materials."

Simmons clacked away on her keyboard taking notes as she spoke. "Using pure dragon bone is too wasteful; I plan to combine it with other drugs. I recall you mentioning that the Hand has a coffin where people are placed directly inside, and then bone powder mixed with blood is poured in to soak them?"

"Correct, the fresh blood of children—bloody and cruel." Old Wang nodded.

"Too extravagant, too wasteful!"

Simmons looked somewhat indignant, chided it for a moment, and then said, "I plan to formulate it into a serum, just a single injection. The amount of dragon bone required will only be a tenth of what the Hand used. Hmm, I need to research the proportions first; it should take about a week."

"Fantastic!"

Old Wang praised her once more, feeling that Simmons was far more reliable and level-headed than Fitz.

This pair was truly interesting: the man always seemed somewhat unconfident, introverted, and aloof, while the woman was much steadier, more extroverted, and cheerful. He wondered who would take the initiative in bed.

"The dragon bone isn't the only thing you need to research."

Old Wang looked toward another direction. There should have been another frozen fellow over there. "The Winter Soldier is the product of the Super Soldier Project. If you study him, can you recreate the Super Soldier Serum?"

"Uh... well, I'm not certain."

Simmons spread her hands. "This is too difficult; I don't think I can do it! Dr. Erskine was the greatest genius of that era, and his serum was a hundred years ahead of its time. Even Mr. Howard Stark couldn't replicate it, nor could S.H.I.E.L.D."

"Once the Dragon Bone Serum is complete, start on this research."

Old Wang smiled. "If you run into any problems, let me know, and I'll find you some assistants."

Assistants?

Simmons blinked in surprise. "Mr. Tony Stark?"

"He counts as one, but there's someone even better." Another face floated into old Wang's mind—a green face.

"Alright."

Simmons actually already had her own ideas brewing. She said, "If that's the case, I plan to integrate the dragon bone into the Super Soldier Project. If it truly succeeds, the new serum should turn out even better than Dr. Erskine's."

At this thought, Simmons's heart pounded against her ribs.

Perhaps she could actually surpass Dr. Erskine. That would be simply unbelievable, absolutely cooooool!

"I wish you success."

Old Wang offered his sincere blessings, quite anticipating this research project.

The physical attributes of Earthlings fell far short of those of famous alien races, such as the Kree and the Skrulls.

Not to mention the Asgardians, represented by Odin and Thor, the God of Thunder.

Captain America's weight was far greater than he appeared because his muscles and bones had been enhanced, increasing his physical density. Consequently, his overall physical performance—whether speed, strength, or endurance—far exceeded that of ordinary people.

An Asgardian's bodily density was even higher than Captain America's; an ordinary stonemason from Asgard could easily thrash elite S.H.I.E.L.D. agents single-handedly, and their skin could even withstand small-caliber handgun rounds.

If he could use the Super Soldier Serum to create an army whose physical strength rivaled that of Asgardians and who could resurrect upon death, perhaps they could truly shift from defense to counterattack and move the battlefield beyond Earth.

Just as he was pondering this, his phone rang again. On the screen was the face of that eternally throbbing bald egg.
