Chapter 152: Black Fiend Palm?
Watching the man who was only at the peak of the Blood Qi Realm, Ye Cheng’s lips curled into a cold sneer. He lifted his foot off the right leg of the wild wolf and casually threw a punch toward the wild wolf’s underling.
“Peng!”
Their fists collided with a sharp impact. Ye Cheng didn’t budge an inch, but the underling let out a horrifying scream like a butchered pig. His arm was shattered by Ye Cheng’s overwhelming Blood Qi force, and he was sent flying backward like a dead dog.
“Amazing!” someone exclaimed. “A single punch sent a peak Blood Qi Realm warrior flying.”
“Who is this young man? He doesn’t even seem to have reached the Yuan Realm, yet his combat power is so formidable.”
“Judging by the fact he can send a peak Blood Qi Realm fighter flying with one punch, he must be at least at the pinnacle of the Blood Qi Realm himself. That’s comparable to the three noble sons of Poison Dragon Town.”
“Such a pity. He’s crossed the wild wolf, a renowned Yuan Realm expert in Poison Dragon Town! Such a talent, but in a chaotic place like this, he shouldn’t have stuck his neck out.”
The onlookers, seeing Ye Cheng’s decisive blow that sent the wild wolf’s underling crashing down, were filled with shock and some with silent sympathy for Ye Cheng.
The wild wolf’s other underlings, who had been ready to intervene, hesitated upon witnessing their companion’s painful defeat. After a moment, they quietly stepped back, abandoning their intention to fight.
“Huh? The three noble sons?” The murmurs nearby naturally reached Ye Cheng’s ears, lodging themselves in his mind. After sending the man flying with a single punch, Ye Cheng looked calmly toward the wild wolf.
The wild wolf met Ye Cheng’s gaze. Sensing that this black-clad youth was not a Yuan Realm expert, he secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Then, with a dark glare, he said, “Where did you come from, you little bastard? How dare you meddle in my affairs and injure my brother? If I don’t teach you a lesson, how am I supposed to maintain my standing in Poison Dragon Town today?”
Though notorious in Poison Dragon Town and brazen in his conduct, the wild wolf was pragmatic. Had Ye Cheng truly been a Yuan Realm master, he might have yielded. But this youth was clearly inexperienced, albeit strong. For someone so young to have reached the peak of the Blood Qi Realm was already extraordinary.
In his eyes, once he acted, this boy would be no more than a trapped mouse in his palm.
But for some reason, despite the youth’s mere Blood Qi Realm strength, he felt threatened.
“Boss, don’t waste words. Just cripple that ungrateful brat,” several of the wild wolf’s underlings barked sharply, their eyes like vicious dogs fixed on Ye Cheng.
“You little bastard, don’t say I’m bullying the weak. I’ll give you two choices: kneel down and beg for forgiveness, calling me grandpa a few times, or lie in bed unable to move from your waist down,” the wild wolf said coldly, ignoring his underlings’ urging as he stared at Ye Cheng.
“Oh?” Ye Cheng’s lips curled into a mocking smile. Mimicking the wild wolf’s tone, he replied, “Then I’ll give you two choices as well: take your men and get out immediately, or wait here until I beat you all down to the point of barking like dogs.”
“You’re dead meat!” “How dare you talk to the wild wolf like that!”
After Ye Cheng’s bold words, the crowd’s sympathy shifted entirely to him.
“Good! Seems like you’re one of those who won’t cry until you’re in the coffin. Few dare speak to me like that in Poison Dragon Town. You’ve got guts, kid. Today, I’ll make sure you understand the consequences of offending me,” the wild wolf snarled.
With a burst, Yuan Energy radiated from him. Black mist began to coil around his lowered palms as he lunged forward, his black-tinged palms slamming directly toward Ye Cheng’s face.
“Black Death Palm!”
“Black Death Palm? The wild wolf’s ruthless—his signature move right from the start! It’s top-tier martial art. Anyone hit by it suffers skin rot as the black energy seeps in.”
Among the crowd, sharp-eyed martial artists recognized the technique and expressed shock. For a Yuan Realm master to unleash such a deadly move on a mere Blood Qi Realm youth seemed like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut.
“Black Death Palm?” Ye Cheng sneered at the approaching black-tinged palm. “It’s just some poison infused into martial arts. At its core, it’s nothing but a trick.”
Though the wild wolf was somewhat famed in Poison Dragon Town and had the strength of a Yuan Realm adept, Ye Cheng was capable of resisting a peak Yuan Realm’s power. Though his previous victory over Luo Long had relied on a temporary boost from a violent Qi potion, he was more than enough to handle a Yuan Realm adept.
When the wild wolf’s palms were less than half a meter from Ye Cheng, the youth moved amid the stunned gazes.
“Thunder Sprint!” a sharp shout rang out.
Ye Cheng’s figure blurred into multiple afterimages. Three muffled thuds sounded like stones hitting the ground. The wild wolf was sent flying like a sandbag. Though he staggered, he quickly regained his footing, fear flickering in his eyes as he looked at Ye Cheng.
“Who is this youth? Such overwhelming power—he’s already gaining the upper hand over a Yuan Realm adept in a single move. If they fought for real, the wild wolf probably wouldn’t stand a chance. Only his sworn elder brother could possibly subdue this boy.”
“Where did such a prodigy come from? So young, yet so accomplished. At my age, I’ve only just reached the peak of the Blood Qi Realm. Truly, I’ve lived a wasted life,” a middle-aged martial artist said bitterly.
The crowd was stunned. Though it was but one move, the disparity was clear. They could see this mysterious black-clad youth didn’t truly want to fight—he merely wanted to warn his opponent to back down.
“Hmph, kid, you really are hiding your true strength. With this kind of power…” the wild wolf wiped blood from his mouth, his face darkening.
The earlier strike had concealed three layers of hidden energy, each stronger than the last. Not only did it shatter his Black Death Palm, but the mighty Blood Qi force also injured him, causing blood to ooze. He could feel that attack was nearly equal to a peak Yuan Realm expert’s full-strength blow.
“If you leave now, I might consider sparing you. But linger too long, and I might change my mind,” Ye Cheng’s threatening voice echoed slowly down the street, laced with cold menace.
