Chapter 61 So It Was You Pulling the Strings Behind the Scenes
“Don’t overthink it—make sure to plug our official account and delivery platform while you’re at it.” Lin Qianfan’s gaze fixed on the laptop screen as he quickly typed a few lines.
“You’ll need to prepare well; journalists aren’t so easy to fool,” Yong Pan leaned over, opening a file as he spoke. “By the way, here’s our backend data report. Want to bring it along? It might come in handy during the interview.”
“Send it to my email,” Lin Qianfan replied without looking up, eyes still on the screen.
Yong Pan nodded and began working.
The next afternoon, in the school auditorium, Lin Qianfan stood on stage facing several reporters equipped with cameras and voice recorders. Behind him stood the principal and several school administrators.
The lead female reporter smiled slightly. “Hello, Lin. We understand that during your time at school, you founded a milk tea shop, a delivery platform, and even developed an official account. All these projects have operated quite successfully. As a student, how did you manage to accomplish this?”
Lin Qianfan took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding calmly. “I simply wanted to do something meaningful alongside my studies and solve practical problems, such as meeting students’ everyday needs.”
“Could you elaborate?” the female reporter pressed.
Lin Qianfan nodded. “Of course. For example, our delivery platform was initially created to make it easier for students to access essential items outside of class.”
“As for the official account, it serves as an information exchange platform, allowing students to obtain campus news more efficiently.”
“Sounds like your intentions are closely aligned with students’ real needs,” another male reporter chimed in.
“What do you think is the key factor behind the success of these projects?” he asked.
Lin Qianfan answered decisively, “User experience. Whether it’s the delivery platform or the official account, we always prioritize the user’s experience.”
“Only by truly addressing users’ pain points can you earn their recognition.”
“Well said,” the male reporter nodded.
Lin Qianfan smiled faintly. “Also, as the business expands, we need more talent.”
“If any students are interested in entrepreneurship or want to develop their skills, they can contact us anytime.”
“How can they get in touch?” the female reporter asked.
“Just scan the QR code on our official account,” Lin Qianfan said, pulling out a display card from his pocket.
The card bore the QR code for the official account and the logo of the delivery platform. “There’s detailed recruitment information here.”
Reporters eagerly snapped photos, and several school leaders showed pleased smiles.

After the interview, the news quickly spread throughout the school, sparking widespread discussion.
“What? Lin Qianfan is actually the founder of that official account?” someone exclaimed in surprise.
“No wonder he’s been so busy lately—he’s been working on all this stuff!”
“No wonder the official account’s content is so professional; it’s all thanks to him.”
Meanwhile, Xu Qian stiffened upon seeing the video, nearly dropping her phone.
“Lin Qianfan! You’ve been messing with me all along!” she muttered angrily, her chest tight as memories flooded her mind:
She had anonymously posted numerous articles on the official account calling Lin Qianfan a scoundrel.
But he responded with a wave of clarifications that not only left him unscathed but also thrust Xia Ruo into the spotlight, leaving her powerless.
What infuriated her most was that Lin Qianfan had known all along she was the anonymous author yet had ignored her completely, never once taking her seriously.
“You bastard!” Xu Qian suddenly stood up and stormed toward Lin Qianfan’s classroom.
His seat was empty, no sign of him anywhere.
“Where’s Lin Qianfan?” Xu Qian asked a passing student, scanning the room.
“Lin Qianfan? He hasn’t come back since the interview yesterday. Probably busy with the delivery platform.”
Gritting her teeth in frustration, Xu Qian turned and walked away, her mind replaying Lin Qianfan’s indifferent expression.
“Busy, huh? Let’s see how long you can keep that up!”
Unconsciously, she found herself at the schoolyard outside the teaching building.
From a distance, she spotted the stylishly dressed Xia Ruo laughing and chatting with several girls. Anger flared within her, and she strode over quickly.
“Xia Ruo!” Xu Qian called out, drawing many onlookers’ attention.
Xia Ruo turned, raising an eyebrow upon seeing her. “What do you want?”
“Cut the act!” Xu Qian stepped forward, voice sharp. “Don’t think that because you and Lin Qianfan have some sort of thing going on, you can climb over others to get ahead!”
Xia Ruo looked puzzled. “Climb over you? Do I need to?”
“Don’t pretend to be innocent! If it weren’t for you stirring the pot, Lin Qianfan wouldn’t have had to clarify all those things!”
Xu Qian sneered. “You’re just riding on your looks—who do you think you are?”
“Yeah, I’m relying on my looks,” Xia Ruo nodded calmly. “What about you? What do you rely on?”
That one sentence left Xu Qian speechless. At that moment, Zhang Lin and a few girls emerged from the milk tea shop.
Zhang Lin immediately recognized her, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Oh, isn’t this Xu Qian? Still busy adding drama to her own story?”
She continued, “If you have nothing better to do, don’t come looking for trouble. We see right through your little tricks.”
“I...” Xu Qian opened her mouth but found no words to defend herself.
Zhang Lin sneered, “And if you really have time, why not improve yourself instead?”
“Stop trying to step on others, only to get stepped on yourself and end up looking ridiculous.”
Xu Qian’s face flushed, but she remained silent.
“Enough embarrassment,” Zhang Lin clicked her tongue and turned away, arm in arm with the others, leaving Xu Qian standing there, defeated.
“What a joke!” Xu Qian cursed under her breath and walked off.
The playground gradually returned to calm, but the scene had already become the talk of the school.
“Xu Qian actually dared to pick a fight with Xia Ruo? Has she lost her mind?”
“Serves her right. Everyone knows Xia Ruo and Lin Qianfan are the school’s hottest figures right now.”
“Xu Qian used to have some standing, but after that anonymous article backfired, she’s finished.”
As rumors spread, Lin Qianfan remained completely unaware of what had transpired on the playground.
After the interview, Lin Qianfan returned to his dormitory, his phone buzzing nonstop.
“Brother Fan, the campus group chat has exploded. So many people are asking about the recruitment,” Yong Pan said excitedly, holding his laptop.
“Already?” Lin Qianfan picked up his phone. Sure enough, notifications were flooding in.
“Boss Lin, I saw your recruitment notice on the official account. I’d like to apply!”
“Are there still delivery rider spots? I’m fast and can work overtime!”
“Hi, I’m very interested in working at the milk tea shop. Are you still hiring?”
Messages poured in one after another, nearly overwhelming his phone.
“They’re all asking in the campus group too,” Yong Pan said, turning his laptop around to show a screen full of message pop-ups.
“Brother Fan, this is great! Our milk tea shop and delivery platform have truly gone viral!”
