Chapter 3

After finishing his inspection at the construction site and having a simple meal with the project manager, the man got into his own car; it was already eight o’clock in the evening.
“Let’s go back,” he said, rubbing the bridge of his nose as he spoke to the driver.
The driver replied, “The housekeeper asked me to tell you that madam and Miss Bai are here; they’re at your place now.”
The man’s gaze instantly turned cold.
The driver felt as if the temperature inside the car dropped several degrees at once, a chill running down his spine.
“Madam just called me earlier, trying to subtly find out whether you had any social engagements today or if you drank any alcohol.”
The man let out a cold snort.
It seemed that his dear mother had not given up on her hope of having Bai Jing as her daughter-in-law.
“Do you still want to go back?” the driver asked cautiously.
Not in the mood to put on a show with them, the man said, “Go to Green Pastures.”
Green Pastures was another one of his residences—a manor-style mansion with lush greenery.
“Understood.”
The driver started the car and merged into the bustling traffic.
The man pulled his phone out of his pocket, along with a golden leaf that had been casually tucked inside.
He stared at the playful four characters inscribed on the golden leaf: “I will support you,” and suddenly, the image of the boy’s enchanting, lively eyes flashed vividly in his mind.
Everyone sought to climb up to him because of his identity and status, yet this person boldly turned the tables, offering to keep him.
A faint smile curved the man’s lips.
“No need to go to Green Pastures anymore. Head to the Fenghe Si Hotel.”

When Xi Shi heard the doorbell, he was overjoyed. He quickly tidied his clothes and walked to the door.
Seeing the man from that afternoon—who had captivated him—standing at his doorstep on the monitor screen, his heart suddenly raced wildly.
He really came!
Xi Shi’s smile was even harder to suppress than AK’s. He tried to appear calm and opened the door.
“You’re here. Come in.”
He stepped aside to let the man in.
Having just showered, he was wearing a bathrobe loosely tied at the waist, outlining his slender figure. The V-shaped neckline revealed glimpses of his fair skin.
Both pure and alluring.
Since the man had come all the way, Xi Shi thought he would embrace him immediately and get straight to the point.
But the man seemed oblivious to the night’s agenda. After entering, he walked to where Xi Shi had been sitting earlier, sat down in another chair, and said, “The view here is quite nice.”
If you can appreciate the scenery, can’t you appreciate the person just as much?
But considering it was likely the man’s first time staying in a presidential suite at a five-star hotel, it was understandable he was impressed by the luxury and the view.
Xi Shi was also too embarrassed to get straight to the point. His heart was pounding so fast that even his walking felt clumsy, his mind exploding like fireworks.
What should he do now?
His head felt dizzy, as if he’d drunk bad liquor.
Ah, right. Drink!
Xi Shi finally knew what to do and asked, “Shall we have a drink?”
The man didn’t refuse.
There was a liquor cabinet in the room. Xi Shi picked a bottle, took out two wine glasses, placed them on the table, and poured half a glass each.
They clinked glasses; Xi Shi took a small sip, then another.
Why was this man so calm?
He was getting nervous—how could he quickly bring up the main issue?
He should have pretended to have just finished bathing and opened the door wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist.
That way, the man would have been instantly helpless, unable to resist, leaving no room for small talk.
“You’re Xi Shi, right? What’s your given name?” the man suddenly asked.

“Xi Shi. The ‘Shi’ as in time. What about you?”
“Jing Chen. ‘Jing’ as in scenery, ‘Chen’ as in dusk.”
Jing Chen... Xi Shi repeated the name quietly, finding it incredibly beautiful.
“You look older than me, so I’ll call you ‘brother’ from now on.”
Jing Chen responded with a noncommittal “hmm.”
He gazed out at the sea of lights and the long trails of car headlights, relaxed his body, leaned back in the chair, and revealed a lazy posture.
“Why do you want to keep me?”
Xi Shi answered matter-of-factly, “Because you’re good-looking!”
Jing Chen raised an eyebrow. “So whenever you see a handsome man, you want to keep him?”
“Hm, if I looked like you, probably. So…”
Xi Shi put down his wine glass on the small table, stood up, straddled Jing Chen’s lap, and lifted his chin with one hand.
“You have to maintain your looks and keep me happy if you want me to keep spending money on you.”
“...”
Jing Chen chuckled.
Before he could say anything, Xi Shi tightened his grip on his chin.
“Alright, enough with the chatter. I’m the one sitting on your lap now—so, what do you say?”
The previously flustered young man now seemed transformed. Jing Chen noticed his slightly glazed eyes and glanced at his now-empty wine glass.
“Are you drunk?”
“Nonsense. This little wine can’t get me drunk.”
Xi Shi then ran his hand over Jing Chen’s face, grinning, “So handsome. I’d bankrupt myself for this face.”
Xi Shi, overwhelmed by the close-up beauty, his mind fogged by alcohol, instinctively leaned in and kissed Jing Chen.
The boy’s lips were soft, carrying the rich scent of red wine. Jing Chen hesitated momentarily before pushing him away.
As soon as their lips parted, Xi Shi clicked his tongue and said, “Since you’re here, don’t pretend to be innocent. It’s not like I’m not paying.”
“...”
“Oh, I get it. You’re upset I haven’t paid.”
Xi Shi grabbed his phone from the table, opened WeChat’s scan function, and generously said, “Here, brother’s transferring you 100,000 yuan first.”
Very good—he had already called himself ‘brother,’ indicating he was quite drunk.
Seeing Jing Chen unmoved, Xi Shi reached for his phone on Jing Chen’s body, teasingly touching him as he did.
No wonder Jing Chen was strong and well-built—a product of working on construction sites. Lean but muscular once undressed.
He had to check if he had eight-pack abs.
Sniff, sniff.
Seeing Xi Shi’s hand getting bolder, Jing Chen, far from a paragon of virtue, began to breathe unevenly under his touch.
He grabbed the boy’s fair, slender hand, and with a serious look said, “Are you sure you want this kind of relationship with me? No regrets?”
“You’re so handsome, I’d regret it if I didn’t sleep with you. Besides, what’s wrong with this kind of relationship? Boyfriends cheat, husbands have affairs—men are most genuine only when they’re in bed.”
Xi Shi clicked his tongue and said, “Why are you so fussy? It’s just a little touching. You act like a pure maiden being teased. Come on, I’ll let you touch too.”
He grabbed Jing Chen’s hand and guided it under his collar.
“See? Not strong chest muscles, but feels pretty good, right?”
“...”
“Hehe, now that I’m touching your chest muscles, you can’t refuse.”
Before Xi Shi could touch Jing Chen’s clothes, Jing Chen scooped him up horizontally and carried him to the suite’s luxurious bedroom.
“Hey, I haven’t touched you yet. You’re unfair. Put me down.”
Jing Chen laid him on the soft bed, pressed his body against his, grabbed his restless hands, and whispered in his ear, “The best place for men to be touched isn’t the chest. I’ll teach you where.”
...
When Xi Shi woke up, it was already the next morning.
His bones felt like they were falling apart; his body ached as if eighteen strong men had beaten him. Every movement was painful.
Damn it! Which bastard had set him up?
Xi Shi opened his eyes, staring at the beige ceiling. Memories of last night slowly returned, flushing his face red.
Then red turned green, green turned black—a more dramatic palette than any painter’s.
He was usually a light drinker but had tried to bolster his courage with alcohol.
Who knew that once drunk, he would become so audacious.
That bastard Shao Xun probably still had his heart set on his white moonlight. Their closest contact had only been hugging and kissing, so Xi Shi had no relevant experience. Last night was his first.
He had heard a little friend complain once that her partner didn’t know how to be gentle the first time, causing her great pain, while he charged in like a novice—nothing romantic.
But when Jing Chen realized it was Xi Shi’s first time, he seemed a little overwhelmed but quickly composed himself and, with utmost patience and perseverance, took good care of him.
That must be the endurance and charm of a mature man.
But it wasn’t all good. Xi Shi sat up wrapped in a bathrobe and glanced at the trash bin beside the bed.
One, two, three, four... four condoms!
No wonder he felt the world spinning even after passing out—this was a man?!
After his frustration, Xi Shi couldn’t help but chuckle foolishly.
No wonder construction workers had such stamina and great physiques—those eight-pack abs were impressive.
Thanks to that damned Shao Xun’s broken engagement, otherwise, how could he have ended up with such a perfect man?
“What are you laughing at?”
Jing Chen emerged from the bathroom, wrapped in a towel around his waist.
He had just finished showering; his hair was wet, droplets sliding from his strands down to his chest, tracing the contours of his beautiful abs before disappearing into the short towel, evoking endless imagination.
At this moment, the phrase “a feast for the eyes” took on a vivid, concrete meaning.
“You’re really handsome,” Xi Shi praised without hesitation.
As soon as the words left his mouth, the face that had obsessed him suddenly filled his vision.
Xi Shi’s head spun again from the beauty; his heart pounded wildly, utterly helpless.
“What... what are you doing?”
He really couldn’t handle it.
But with such beauty before him, he wasn’t entirely incapacitated.
While Xi Shi’s mind wandered, he heard Jing Chen’s low, husky voice say, “Paid services should know their limits.”
Huh? What?
Before Xi Shi could react, Jing Chen reached out, gathered the loosely worn bathrobe, and tied it in a tight, ugly knot at his waist, almost wrapping Xi Shi like a cocoon.
“...”
Xi Shi laughed angrily.
Who was it that didn’t know limits?
Jing Chen picked up the clothes scattered on the floor and dressed.
Xi Shi lounged lazily on the bed, watching him button up his shirt one by one, returning to his usual austere and cold demeanor, and asked, “Do you still have to go back to the construction site?”
“...”
Jing Chen’s eyes held a fleeting expression that was hard to describe before he said, “Mm.”
Xi Shi said, “Let’s have dinner together tonight.”
Not a question but a command—no need to consider the other’s availability or consent.
Wasn’t this more emotionally valuable than dating?
As his kept man, Jing Chen was quite sensible and said, “Okay.”
Before leaving, Xi Shi added Jing Chen on WeChat, checked his own balance, and transferred him 200,000 yuan.
Hehe, he was very pleased with the other, so the sweet rewards had to be generous from the start.
