Staring at the Black Tower, a sudden flash of inspiration struck Xing’s mind—she seemed to have found a way to acquire Star Gems! Chuckling to herself, she pulled out the Fate Coin.

“Black Tower, take a look at this,” she said.

The Black Tower regarded the Fate Coin with utter disdain.

“Isn’t that just a coin? What’s so special about it?”

A sly smile curved Xing’s lips as she placed her hands on her hips.

“Of course it’s special! This is the Fate Coin. Toss it into the air—if it lands heads up, it restores health; if tails, you get struck by lightning. Impressive, right?”

Hearing this, the Black Tower’s interest was piqued.

It picked up the Fate Coin and flipped it high into the air.

Watching the coin spin, a thrill ran through Xing’s heart. Her plan was working! Regardless of the outcome, as long as the Fate Coin was genuine, she could extort the Black Tower, making it pay her back in Star Gems.

The Fate Coin twirled and danced in the air before finally falling to the ground.

Xing craned her neck to see the result.

[Tails]!

The next moment, the Black Tower puppet suddenly emitted a shout, as if struck hard.

Puzzled, Xing scratched her head and looked at the Black Tower puppet in front of her.

Apart from the noise, the puppet made no other movements.

“What’s wrong, Black Tower?”

What Xing didn’t know was that the Black Tower’s true body had just been struck by lightning the moment the Fate Coin landed.

Fortunately, blessed with intelligence, it wasn’t seriously injured.

Now, the Black Tower was successfully attracted by the Fate Coin—it could directly target its own true body for attacks.

The Black Tower’s true form hastily controlled the puppet to pick up the Fate Coin from the ground.

The instant the puppet touched the Fate Coin, it disintegrated into dust and vanished.

“Interesting, this thing is fascinating! Xing, where did you get it? Do you have any more?”

Xing shook her head.

“No. This is the only one I have. Compensation!”

With righteous indignation, she extended her right hand, demanding repayment.

The Black Tower said nothing. A few seconds later, Xing’s phone chimed with a notification.

[Company funds credited: 100,000 Credit Points!]

Xing looked at the newly added 100,000 Credit Points on her phone, fully satisfied.

She planned to use part of this to buy some Star Gems, then find Ye Yun to purchase the other two items. Heh heh.

After buying everything, she’d still have plenty of Credit Points left. Heh heh, she was truly a genius.

Having received the money, Xing wasted no more time with the Black Tower.

“Well, Black Tower, I have something else to do today, so let’s skip the simulated universe test for now.”

Unexpectedly, the Black Tower agreed immediately.

The moment Xing demanded compensation, the Black Tower had already given up on making her test the simulated universe today.

Her direct offer of compensation was meant to coax Xing into revealing the merchant who sold her the Fate Coin.

Undoubtedly, anyone who could produce such an item for sale wouldn’t have only one.

Once Xing got the money, she would definitely seek out that merchant again. Her task was to keep an eye on Xing.

“Go on then. I’m not in the mood for testing today. We’ll do it tomorrow.”

With that, the Black Tower puppet went offline, standing motionless in place.

Seeing this, Xing raised an eyebrow and left the Black Tower’s office.

Along the way, Xing asked everyone she met if they had any Star Gems.

Surprisingly, this approach worked—she managed to exchange for quite a few Star Gems.

One Star Gem was worth 500 Credit Points, and for many, the gem was just a pretty stone. If they could get 500 Credit Points for it, why not?

After asking around the main control cabin, twenty Star Gems had accumulated in her bag.

Just as Xing was about to find Ye Yun, a voice called from behind her.

“Xing, what are you doing here?”

Turning around, she saw it was San Yueqi.

“San Yue, I’m exchanging Star Gems. By the way, do you have any? I’m willing to pay 500 Credit Points each.”

San Yueqi eyed Xing suspiciously—what was she up to now?

“I do. Why? What do you want with them? You’re even paying for them?”

Looking around and finding only the two of them nearby, Xing smiled mysteriously and leaned in close.

“Of course, they have a big purpose.”

San Yueqi looked at her intently.

“A big purpose? Something fun? Tell me about it!”

Xing grinned and whispered into San Yueqi’s ear.

“I’ll tell you…”

San Yueqi’s eyes widened in surprise, occasionally gasping in excitement.

“This is fun! Xing, I want to buy some too. Take me with you!”

Xing nodded and said, “Let’s go, keep up.”

She led San Yueqi following the coordinates Ye Yun had sent.

At this moment, Ye Yun was strolling in the small garden next to the main control cabin.

One had to admit, Astida truly deserved her status as the heiress of the Star-Level Peace Company; even this modest little garden must have cost a fortune.

Inside, countless flowers bloomed in vibrant colors and various shapes.

Before long, Xing arrived with San Yueqi at the garden.

Seeing Ye Yun, she grabbed San Yueqi’s hand and quickened their pace.

Ye Yun smiled warmly upon seeing them.

“Xing! Over here.”

Xing and San Yueqi approached.

Xing glanced beside Ye Yun, and San Yueqi curiously asked,

“Xing, what are you looking at?”

Xing replied,

“I’m looking for the scale. Quick, Ye Yun, bring out your scale—I want to exchange some Star Coins.”

Ye Yun smiled and produced the scale.

“Xing, you brought a friend? Introduce her.”

Hearing Ye Yun’s prompt, Xing realized she hadn’t introduced San Yueqi to Ye Yun yet.

“Ye Yun, this is my best friend, San Yueqi—the nameless passenger on the train.”

“San Yue, this is Ye Yun—the merchant I told you about.”

Without further ado, Xing eagerly placed all twenty Star Gems from her bag onto one side of the scale.

Soon, the Star Gems vanished without a trace, and on the other side appeared twenty Star Coins, each worth 100.

Satisfied, Xing picked up the 2,000 Star Coins, dipped her hand in the nearby automatic sprinkler, and began counting. The thrill of counting money was simply unbeatable!

San Yueqi watched Xing’s Star Coins with curiosity.

“Xing, are these the Star Coins you mentioned?”

Xing nodded.

“Exactly. San Yue, you should exchange yours too. Once you do, you can buy things from Ye Yun.”

Hearing this, San Yueqi imitated Xing, placing her ten Star Gems on the scale.

Soon, ten Star Coins, each worth 100, appeared on the other side.

She took them down and examined each one carefully.

Seeing this, Ye Yun smiled and took out his phone, handing it to them.

“My shop isn’t open yet, conditions are rough, so just use my phone to browse. The items listed here are all available.”

Ye Yun had racked his brain for a way to rent a carriage in the train group.

Eventually, he spent some time recording the items in his store on his phone.

Names, prices, effects—all clearly documented for buyers to understand the product features at a glance.

In just a short while, Ye Yun had noted down over 500 items.
